Internet poker has become world celebrated recently, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years many types on the original poker game have been created, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to 21 than long-standing poker, in that the players bet against the bank instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little bluffing or different types of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up before the dealer broadcasting "No further bets." At that moment, both you and the casino and of course all of the different gamblers acquire five cards each. Once you have seen your hand and the bank’s first card, you need to either make a call bet or surrender. The call bet’s value is akin to your beginning ante, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your wager goes immediately to the bank. After the bet is the conclusion. If the casino does not have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, plus a sum equal to the ante. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand is greater than the casino’s hand. The casino pays out chips equal to your original bet and controlled expectations on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
