Double-hand Poker is a cutting-edge game with old ancestry. Founded on the ancient Chinese domino game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the far east with the wild west in a wonderful game for beginner level players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player versus the casino, not like nearly all other poker games that gamblers wager with other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, beginning players don’t need to worry about other, more knowledgeable people taking their $$$$.

An additional Pai Gow advantage is the relatively slow game play, novices should be able to take their time and strategize while not needing to make hasty choices.

It is also easier to wager on for an extended time with only a small amount of money since, to lose, each of your hands needs to be lower than both of the houses hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the regular 52-card basic deck and a single joker. The player is given seven cards faces showing and the dealer receives seven cards faces hidden.

A 5 card hand and a 2 card hand need to be made from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand has to be higher than the two card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand values to be higher than the casino’s.
