Caribbean Poker Rules and Tricks

[ English ]

Web poker has become globally famous recently, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, stretches back in fact a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years several variants on the original poker game have been developed, including some games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling blackjack than old guard poker, in that the gamblers wager against the dealer rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no conniving or different kinds of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up just before the dealer saying "No further bets." At that point, both you and the casino and of course every one of the different players acquire five cards each. After you have seen your hand and the casino’s first card, you must in turn make a call wager or surrender. The call wager’s value is equal to your original bet, meaning that the stakes will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your wager goes immediately to the bank. After the wager comes the showdown. If the house does not have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, including a figure in accordance with the original wager. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand beats the bank’s hand. The house pays out money even with your initial bet and controlled expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
